Faculty and staff departments are being done in phases (check your email for notice on exact date of cutover). This change is happening for the whole campus before the fall semester. However, if you are using a non-Outlook email client, you may have to delete and reconfigure your email profile once more to initiate a modern authentication setup. If you are using an Outlook client, whether on the web, desktop, or mobile, you shouldn't need to do anything, as you are already using modern authentication. This is ahead of the Microsoft deadline of October 1, 2022.ģrd party email clients (and others that tie into your Washburn Office 365 account) may need to be reconfigured. During Summer 2022, ITS will be disabling basic authentication, also known as legacy authentication, in lieu of modern authentication for its Office 365 tenant.
