I follow these instructions and the LCDs now light up to show that the controller is recognised by the system but Maschine is not running yet. After that, opening the "Controller Editor" software from NI caused the Maschine to light up and it's all systems go :) Then I saw the "System extension blocked" dialog pop up and I allowed the extension.
